UrgoStart® is indicated for the treatment of debrided low to moderately exuding leg ulcers, pressure ulcers and diabetic foot ulcers and recurring wounds. |

Application:
Dressing changes:UrgoStart® dressings can be left in place for up to 7 days, depending on the level of exudate and the clinical condition of the wound. A minimum of 4 to 5 weeks treatment is recommended to obtain greatest results. |
Precautions for use
The Soft-Adherent TLC-NOSF layer of UrgoStart® may stick to latex surgical gloves. It is therefore recommended to avoid contact with this Soft-Adherent TLC-NOSF layer.
If signs of critical colonisation are present, suitable treatment is recommended prior to the use of UrgoStart®.
In case of an atypical ulcer presenting induration or overgranulation, UrgoStart® should only be used after checking the absence of wound-related malignancy in order not to delay the diagnosis.
The product’s action on re-trigerring the healing process may possibly cause stinging or painful sensations on commencement of treatment with UrgoStart®. This rarely warrants suspension of treatment.
Do not re-sterilise the dressing.
Store UrgoStart® dressings flat, away from moisture, light and heat (temperature below 25°C).
Contraindications
In order not to delay any optimal teatment, UrgoStart® is contraindicated in wounds which are not likely to heal such as :
Cancerous wounds
Deep fistula wounds
