UrgoStart® is a soft-adherent foam dressing made of a TLC layer (Technology Lipido-Colloid) with healing accelerator (NOSF Nano-OligoSaccharide Factor), combined with an absorbent foam pad and a semi-permeable backing.
The new Soft-Adherent TLC-NOSF layer of UrgoStart® represents an advance in TLC technology due to the addition of functional polymers. When in contact with the wound and as a result of their physicochemical properties, these polymers interact with the living cells in their environment and promote the multiplication of dermal fibroblasts(1)(2).
The soft-adherence of this layer makes it easier to handle the dressing during wound care and ensures that removal is atraumatic.

Functional characteristics

The composition of UrgoStart® dressing gives its healing properties. The Soft-Adherent TLC Technology forms a lipido-colloid gel in contact with the wound, creating and maintaining a moist environment that is essential for the healing process and at the same time limiting any adherence of the dressing to the wound and ensuring pain-free and atraumatic removal of the dressings.

The underlying foam pad ensures continuous exudate absorption.
